Change

Can you think of a single thing that is the same today as it was yesterday?

I can think of only one thing.  As I think about it, all plant life, grows, withers and dies.  All animals, grow, get old, and die.  Things that we build... they change, sometimes it takes a long time, but they changes.  Houses crumble and get taken back over by the elements.  Roads break apart from the weather and plant life.  Songs get scattered through the people and without electronics, the dialects will change the words, and this word sounds better to us, and songs, poems, things of this nature, are sometimes lost, changed, modified from it's original.

The only thing that I know of that is the same, never changes, is God.  God is the same today, as he was yesterday, and will be tomorrow.  God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, the Triune are never changing.
So with this being said, man as an animal, and not a God is supposed to change.  Man is born, grows, gets old, and dies.  All of us do, none of us are different.  I don't know a single person that is the same today as they were five years ago.  I would love meet this person, I'm sure there are some out there, it would be sad indeed, but to encounter one that needs the Word.  We are meant to grow, learn, evolve, expand, and do good for the Lord.

"Change is not only good; it is critical.  If you do the same things today that you did 5 years ago, you need to closely examine your heart.  To repent means to change." ~Crazy Love, Francis Chan

O LORD, do not your eyes look for truth? You struck them, but they felt no pain; you crushed them, but they refused correction. They made their faces harder than stone and refused torepent.

Revelation 2:5 NIV

Revelation 3:19 NIV

Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent.

When I first started copying the scriptures there, I thought briefly that someone is going to look at those and say, those have nothing to do with the repenting that I'm speaking of...  but oh they do, each and every one of them.  Repent... Repent... Repent...  AND keep repenting until you get it right!!!

Whoa! be ye that hinders His children from growing to be the man he's intended to be for God.  If you are one that has issues with change, or the people around you changing, please please please crawl into your own heart, examine each ounce of it, and find out what chains have you bound that you have imprisoned yourself this way.  Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to freedom, that you too can grow.

And as always, if you need help with this.... jrpodgurski27@gmail.com email me, I will answer everyone!
